Our unique position in the market place has provided both insight and experience into the delivery of quality assured complex precision machined components across the automotive, aerospace and affiliated sectors.

This detailed knowledge adds value to our customers through an in house machining capability. The Grainger & Worrall infrastructure incorporates state-of-the art CNC Machine Centers for the supply of a wide range of machined components such as engine blocks, cylinder heads and other precision machined parts.

An integrated service of both casting and machining are offered in house and we also provide a managed machined part procurement outsourcing service in order that we are able to deliver an appropriate total solution for higher volume supply.

The machining of castings requires a slightly different approach to machining from billet material. This process is a specialism of Grainger & Worrall, the best surface finish, the most accurate bore sizes and feature positions are all meaningless if the relationship to cast form is incorrect. It should be no surprise that “We know Castings” Our machine shop specializes in the machining of castings, optimizing the best fit of machine to cast feature right from the outset.

This optimization, or what we call casting “Balance” can start as early as your CAD Engineers screen. We are happy to offer our support to your designer with a view to building in features right from the conception of your design which will make balance more accurate and efficient.
